Rob the sailor!

Click on the photo to see more! Bless - it was really rough out at sea. Tony didn't feel too bright either. Rob was sick three times - yuck. The red box (final photo) is the catch Tony and Rob made between them. Not bad at all!! Snapper, Parrot fish and Trevelli. They gutted it, but wisely took it to a fishmonger to be filleted. All-in-all we had enough fish for two family evening meals - and very nice it was too!!!

Whoses the Daddy?

Look closely - Tony and I are little dots on the left-hand side of the base of the tree (thank goodness Tony has a white t-shirt on!). This is a 2,000 year old kauri tree in the rainforest of North Island, near Dargaville. It is called the 'Father of the Forest' aka something entirely unpronounabe in Maori.

Breakfast Day 2

Yes the camper van broke down on us, so we spent Sunday in a pub car park waiting to be rescued by the mechanic on Monday morning! No AA service here!!

Hmmm .....snug!

Here is Joe lying in what was his bed for a fortnight on our recent tour of the North Island in a camper van. It was hilarious - but very snug for a family of five. but hey, one of those 'once in a lifetime' holiday opportunities!!
